Copper, Silver, Gold and Titanium are metals I love to work with. Copper is my sketching material, while the others are used in my jewelry line or custom work.
Precious Metal Clay or better know as PMC, is a metal that starts as being pliable, like clay. The end product has nothing to do with clay. After correct firing in a kiln it is a solid metal that you can further work with all the metalsmiths techniques. For more information about metalclays see: www.pmcguild.com
In the beginning days of this new material it was only available in silver and gold clay. But today you can work in copper, bronze, steel, silver and gold clay. My favorites are the PMC standard silver clay, that shrinks 30% and the PMC3 silverclay, that shrinks 14%.
